Dear All,
I have never posted before, but reading all the threads has prompted me to do something about my debt problems. It was never a problem of too much debt, just it never got any smaller. Now, my overdraft is on a 0% card until April, I am overpaying the loan for my car (£300 pcm instead of the £40 minimum - and boy, what a difference it makes!). Student loan will be paid off March 2007, but I will overpay it when the car loan is paid off. Have also persuaded OH that it is worth at least keeping an eye on our budget. Result? This month is the first month that I have not been overdrawn at payday since I left university... in 2001. The overdraft I did have is a 0% and will be paid off at the end of January. I even have savings! Only £200, but at the end of the day, I've never had them before.
So, thankyou. Just thought I would share.
Total debt at the moment = £5697.84
Debt free date March 2007 (latest)
