mum2one please feel free to keep posting I like it when I know people are reading lol.
re your comments on my soa
- ct wont accept over 12 months
- gas and electric are higher than I like because they carped it up when we moved in and under charged us, however I checked online this morning and we're in credit on one and debit on the other by almost same amount so almost back on even keel now.
- Telephone has no inclusive calls, just a teenager that has discovered the phone grrr
-mobiles - oh is stuck in his 35 contract for another 12 months and I have just downgraded mine to 25 a month on 12 month contract instead of 18 months as it worked out cheaper to do it that way than payg
- food is for 2 adults, 2 children and a cat. I do keep meaning to meal plan more so will make that a priority and also go back to online shopping when mr sainsbury put their delivery charges back down again at the end of aug. I stopped getting it online out of principle when i saw they hiked their delivery charges up almost over night without warning.
- petrol, most of that is for oh as he works a fair way away. I hardly use my car during the week unless it's for work as with dd in nursery I feel safer knowing she is 2 minutes in the car away rather than 15 mins walk should I need to get to her.
-childcare is for 14 month old so standard all year round, but just learned I can take holiday so will co-incide when i take holiday
Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it and am going to try and bring a couple of those totals down0 -
I've got to be cheeky and ask where did you get them from, thats an amazing price.
I get a lot of my presents from halfcost, its basically studio cards, ace cards, catalogue over makes etc, sometimes its hit and miss as the items may be low stock, but I've had a wack of bargains.
include :
gents speedo swimtrunks £1.00
gents polo shirt £1.50
gents nike sweatshirt - £2.99 (neighbours xmas prezzie sorted)
curtains dd rm £1.00
kingsize quilt cover (turned out to be 2 ) £7.00
www.halfcost.co.uk
I wouldn't recommend anywhere unless I have had good service, I've done about 7 orders and they are brilliant. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Hi
I have just placed my first order with these, how long do yours normally take to arrive?
I used a Family and Freinds discount code (think it was for 15% but not sure).

Morning, the sun is shining here for the first day all week. Maybe that washing will dry today.
Mum2one, I got all that from M+S, as they have half price on books and then I got a 20% off plus a free delivery (just hope they honour it). I found it through hotukdeals I think so have a look there
I'll check out halfcost, as I really need to crack on with this xmas pressie lark I hate it being left to the last minute.
So todays targets are
- have another look into this extra bank account, especially if I can get some cashback attched.
- read through mb thread again as didn't have time last night.
I am at work from lunchtime so not a lot of mseing today, but I can try to keep spends low or not at all.
This morning I've just listed a couple of books on Amazon, as they have been lying around for ages and as they're not out of date, but there are updated books available I thought they weren't worth anything, but they're still on Amazon for over a tenner each, so it's worth a try as it doesn't cost anything to list.
I really want to get out in the garden this morning as OH has the week off and we should be being productive but I bet we don't do anything. We have two large bushes that need removing, I'm sure it wouldn't take that long lol.
Have a fab day everyone.0 -
I've had my comet statement in the post and my miniscule overpayment last month did indeed make it to the right place and has deducted from my balance, so I can carry on making overpayments on a more regular basis to get rid of this balance.
I've also decided this morning that the wedding will be priority number one from my list. We are going to save save save and have a small wedding with a biggish party, but save now and then book a date in dec when we know what the mortgage payments will be each month.
I'm nervous yet excited.0 -

Hi
Usually 7 days from placeing the order, the only trouble is the site becomes addictive with all the bargains.

I listed two text books on Amazon this morning and one sold at lunch time :j , I'm so happy, couldn;t believe it.
Also sold one ebay item today so that's another coupld of quid.
Off to read the mb thread again now and then have a hunt around for bargains.
I spend £5.36 today on some dinner at work which I was really cheeses off with myself after I'd done it as if I had been more organised this morning I could have made something to take in. Ah well never mind, tomorrow's another day.0 -

That doesn't surprise me.
I think I will have to limit myself to a certain amount each month or so.
I think it will be a bit like going into Home Bargains, you come out with a lot of stuff you don't really need but you can not buy at such low prices.
I think I will have a lot of bedding by the look of those prices.0 -

Spent loads today on uniform for dd1. Not sure how much it all came to but it needed getting so sadly not a nsd for me today. Will also be having a bottle of wine tonight and probably chocolate so I'm being very naughty. I will however enter comps and get some bits ready for listing on ebay etc.0
