Hi Linda
It's the date the credit card/loan was taken out. If you don't have the exact date a rough idea will do. I put dates with a ? next to all mine and it was fine.DFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

As Dalip said, the date the debt started. I put 'approx' next to some of mine and it was no problem at all

do I incklude old tax credit overpayments? only thing im worried about is that they will go over and look into all my old claims, it takes them forever to sort things out and count on tax credits to cover childcare!£2 Savers club £0/£150

You have to include any debt that you owe at the date of bc. I put my student loan down even though i knew it was not covered by my bc.DFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

I included a tax credit overpayment from 2003 (approx. £1200 that I was paying back at £10 per month) and it was fine - didn't effect my current claim at all.You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that
