Mortgage whilst on 12 month contract

Later this week we have an appointment with an independent financial advisor through mychoice homebuy scheme. With this scheme you can take the mortgage from any high street lender.

My main question is, are there any high-street banks that would consider my income whilst on a 12 month contract?

We have been accepted on to the ownhome scheme but with that scheme you must take the mortgage from the co-op and they won't consider my income. We did apply in my partner's name only but the application was declined.

He was a bit careless with a credit card at 18 so credit score reflects that, however I have always been careful so my credit score is much better.

We are feeling very trapped in our current home (renting a 1bed flat in a rough area) so any advice would be much appreciated.
