I'm in the heat for Leeds for the Eggs Factor competition, posted here by Demented Housewife!
Just had a telephone call and now I'm off to practise poaching eggs! :j
Update: poaching is going ok ... buy shares in eggs as I'll be buying loads in between now and 10 September (the heat)!!!!
Further update: my eggy dish was a French cheese puff thing called a gougere, which is basically a choux pastry with loads of cheese & eggs, which is baked (really yummy in cold/wet weather with a glass of red wine - anyone who wants the recipe - pm me!). And I think I will be sick of eggs by the end of August, as we are planning on having a poached egg on muffin every day when we get in from work!!!!!!

White wine Vinegar about a dessert spoon full in a small pan, swirl the water (not quite boiling) then take off the scum and check regularly..... works for me everytime...good luck x Let us all know how you get on x
