Some advice please

Hi all, bit of advice please. I have spoken to CCCS who have advised me that I should be able to go on a DMP, but I have just noticed a big mistake on the expenditure summary they sent me, for some reason they have no amounts in the motoring section

Below is my SOA including motoring expenses. This is based on my share of the bills.

Mortgage - 312
Council Tax - 48
Electricity - 30
Gas - 36
Home insurance - 12
Telephone/Internet - 10
TV licence - 6
SKY - 10
Life insurance - 18
Food/toiletries/cleaning - 143
Pet food/insurance - 10
Tabbacco - 87
Clothing and footwear - 10
Glasses - 17
Newspapers - 5
Entertainment - 10
Emergency fund - 10
Fuel - 40
Road Tax - 17
Car insurance - 43
Spares servicing - 13

Total outgoings - 887

Total income - 1001

Spare income - 114

Total debts - 28874

All my debt is with Barclays bar one creditor who I owe 774 to. Assuming my creditors stop intrest it will take me over 21 years to pay them back

To make matters worse my mortgage deal comes to an end next July and will go up to nearly £900 per month meaning I will have to find an extra £138 per month.

I guess I am looking at going BR but was wondering if anyone can see anything I cab change?

Thanks in advance Simon

    Hi Simon,

I would suggest you give us a call back and have a second appointment. We can then enter your motoring costs into your budget and re look at the advice.

Tabbacco is the only thing that really springs to mind.

Thanks Sarah, have booked another appt for next week.

George, I guess the cigs should go altogether however I have cut down substantialy. I would love to take a second job but I currently work shifts and my pay includes doing overtime on Saturdays, I could try to do something on Sundays but tbh I don't think my body would last long lol. I guess I will just have to wait to see what CCS advise next week.

Simon - perhaps you should sign up to the £10 a day challenge and look at the up your income board.... Sell what you can on ebay / amazon / car boot / paper etc. Look at quidco's no spend offers - I am up to £65 just on those.... in 10 days....!

Look at earning money from reviews eg slice the pie, valued opinions etc - it may not be much but it is better than nothing....

I would definitely look at cutting down on the cigs (but with my chocolate and craft addition I understand how hard that could be!)
