I once cooked a large gammon overnight, followed by a chicken for the tea then made the bones into stock after that. And that was just using one of my slow cookers. I have been known to have 2 on the go at one time.

BTW - I sold my 3rd one at the boot fair this w/e. I know MATH will be sadly disappointed that the house of mouse is down to 2, but hey, someone gave me £3 for it and it was 30 years old :D

I cooked a chicken during the day, used the carcass to make stock overnight, then in the morning used the stock and veg to make soup. I don't think i turned it off for 30 hours...

    2 1/2lb pumpkin
2 and a half cups white vinegar
    2 cups sugar
    tsp salt
    1 large onion
    3 tbsp minced ginger
    2tsp mixed spice

simmer for 45 mins or until thick if u use a conventional pan, or overnight in the slow cooker (mine was 10pm til 9am!)
add chilli if you want during the cooking
put in clean jars it should keep for up to 3 months

Me too, chicken all day and stock all night. I don't even bother washing it out in between! I tend to have "sessions" of using the slowcooker every day and night for a few days to use up big packs of cheap meat or veg. Yesterday's stock makes today's casserole, that sort of thing.
