But my oh (soon to be ex - I think) doesn't. He thinks it'll affect his position at work and future career prospects. I can see us going down the repossion route if things don't change.
What can I do?

Best thing is to contact one of the free debt heplines or make an appointment to discuss your situation with your local cab office. We can help any specific questions you may have. Bc does affect certain occupations,so depends on what your OH does.DFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Hi Gurturdeanna,
Unless he's in a job that's regulated by the FSA, or works for a bank or similar it won't have any effect on his job. Unless there's anything in his contract saying he has to there's no need to even tell his employers.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
He is a deputy manager for a retail company. His shop is situated in the same companys bank premises so he's right next to the vault etc.
What sort of questions will the debt companies ask me?Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:0 -
Just cause your OH is bc it does not turn him in to a bank robber:eek: but i know where you are coming from. When looking for a job now i avoid all the ones with "financial" in the advert as i think they won't consider me seeing as i am bc. They will go through your SOA with you and look at the different options of debt repayment and how they will effect you. They will not judge and will advise on what your options are.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

It still wouldn't make any difference unless there's a bankruptcy clause in his contact and/or they perform regular credit checks on all staff, which they would have to tell him if they do.
They wouldn't even know he was bankrupt unless he told them.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
