I was just reading another thread about how to get free fresh yeast by wandering into a supermarket bakery section and just asking for it. Has anyone managed to do this in Northern Ireland/Belfast? I just cant imagine our local supermarket steff being so obliging!!
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T

I've gotten fresh yeast from the bakery section in sainsburys. I think I have gotten it free a couple of times, but it really doesn't cost that much. It's been a while since I asked for any - been away for a long time and haven't baked any bread since coming home - so I can't remember exactly how much it is, but like 50p or less I think.
Ask and see what happens! Ask for a small amount and then they might give it to you free.#96 of the Norn Iron Club

Sainsbury's in Newry charges for it, but I don't know about other branches. Apparently Asda is the one most likely to just give it away.
Sigur - try sticking your appendage in live yoghurt, that apparently helps male yeast infections:D0 -
