You could use mind mapping software eg mindmeister.com (free online) to group people into table groups, move them between groups etc. It won't show square or round tables or physical layout though.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

I will be using multi coloured post its and a large bit of paper! not free but certainly cheap.

the table planning software is great but it doent have a 'grumpy','obnoxious' or 'friendly' tag. All of which you need to take into account - ie spread the happy friendly people around to keep conversation going and spread out the weirdos so they are not all on one table with your single best mate from uni. Plus I am having kids at the wedding and I want to keep family groups together if I can.

We just did ours on tables in a word document. Free, easy and you can edit it when you want. :D
It was easier for us I guess because we are having long tables rather than round! :o

  • I'm planning pretty much the entire wedding out of a excel spread sheet. One work sheet has all my budgets and the second sheet has a list of all the day guests, then a list of all the night guests. I just copied and pasted my list of day guests, wrote the names of all my tables - then dragged the names to the appropiate table name - easy peasy.
