I read most of my daily news on the computer with a cup of tea in the morning, and the Sunday Times on the weekend.
The internet allows me to read news from all over the world, which includes the New York Times, Washington Post, UK papers and even the Jerusalem Post sometimes.
My only complaint with a lot of the news is how many of the papers today are more like tabloids than real newspapers. It's obviously to generate revenue, but I remember when reading a newspaper was a real pleasure.0 -
I read my newspapers online, except for Saturdays when I buy The Times. This lasts all the weekend and maybe into Monday, depending on my chores on Sunday.
I still cannot get over paying £1 8s 0d for a newspaperTo Dare is To Do:beer:0 -
I read the Bristol Evening Post most days (we get it delivered at work, and I buy it on Saturdays). Occasionally read the Observer or the Guardian at weekends or on holiday (my OH buys them to read, if we go to the pub!)0

This must be a Guardian reader - always have their noses in the air where the plebs are concerned!
The Mail is truly disturbing paper. It backed Hitler in the 30's; promotes itself on headlines featuring witch-hunts and sensationalism - "give them something to hate every day" – whips up hysteria over minor issues; has campaigns which have the sole purpose of promoting fear (Maddy, Diana, immigrants, taxes, Labour, Guardian-readers, etc) to sell more copies; it falsely accused Covell of organising riots in Italy; it contradicts itself continually; I could go on.
It is a paper that long ago sacrificed journalistic integrity for naked profit and, frankly, should be banned.0 -
Why is it if you believe in freedom of speech, anti-racism, devolution of power, anti-war, you are accused of having your nose in the air?

We call The Mail "The Daily Sneer" in our household - it is truly a depressing rag. If you don't already have something to worry about or someone to look down on, this will provide...0 -

I call it the Daily Fail :rotfl:
We get quite good free local papers where I live - just a shame we get 4 different ones a week, 1 would be enough and 2 are plenty.
I don't read national newspapers or watch the news very often, I find it depressing and they always seem to be making hysteria about something, or reporting something mind numbing about a celebrity I don't care about. I sometimes listen to the news on the radio as it seems much more neutral and to the point. Other than that I hear about current affairs through my friends, mainly online friends.I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -

No, just a young female who doesn't like the assumption that everyone my age is a 'yob' who has just got results for exams which are obviously easier than tying shoelaces and that I should spend my life cleaning, cooking and thinking about shoes.(Sorry if I'm ranting a little! :S)

Ooh wow I think that's the best name for it that I've heard. I have a few friends who call it the Daily Hate.0
