I take it we're all aware of the pretty cool MSE promotion for £15 deducted off both your first two orders at Waitrose ("save15", ends 31 August 2008, £50 minimum spend - new customers only).
We got some really nice treats in - and about time to place my 2nd order.0 -

Opposite side of the river from Wapping. In other words, head South over Tower Bridge (taking the opportunity to lock car doors, close windows, write will etc)* and turn left just after the pub at the end.
It's incredibly expensive these days but then they do have a wonderful view of North London.
* This is a joke, I lived in South London for many years and was hardly ever shot or stabbed.0 -

You are right - I checked with my mother, and it does have an M & S food shop, though (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
It's a road, going from Tower Bridge eastwards towards St . Saviour's then southwards to Tooley Street. It's also the name for that bit of riverside. It was the setting for most of Oliver Twist, but has gone up in the world a bit since then! Butler's Wharf and St. Saviour's Dock are there - the latter was opened by the Benedictine monks who owned and ran Bermondsey Abbey, now Southwark Cathedral.
It was a huge dock & storehouse area, and the biggest in London during the 19th century....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
