if he has been doing this for a while, and if the downturn means a higher % of his cases turn to arrears than average , the lender(s) may well look at his cases ( that may not be in arrears) and start digging

You will all be glad to know... thats thanks to the advise and the fact that I can think a lot clearer now. I have come to me senses... let my BOYF buy of me.. and go and put a deposit in a smaller place for little me )
