My dad is coming for Sunday lunch and i'd love to make him an apple and blackberry pie as it's one of his favourite)...only i would like to make it before hand and then re-heat it while we are eating the Sunday roast....but i don't know how.
I've looked in delias book and found a lovely recipe but not sure if it will be ok to re-heat....any advice you could all give me would be brilliant...thanks

I like it cold so probably wouldn't bother

If I had to heat it up, I'd probs blast it a few secs in the microwave.Love and compassion to all x0 -

It will be fine to reheat, on a fairly low temp (about 160-180C), say for about 20 mins. I wouldn't suggest reheating in the microwave because the pastry will go soggy.
The other option would be to make it in advance but don't cook it, then freeze and cook from frozen on the day. Cook at a similar temperature, will just take a bit longer.
Good luck- I'm sure you're dad will love it!

Thanks both.
I thought about making it a couple of hours before and then popping it in the oven while we eat the roast..but will the apple go brown (or will it be ok as the blackberries juice will hide the brown)?0
