    But putting a bomb in a litter bin is a lot easier.
    - It is not unusual for people to put things in bins and leave them and walk away.
    - A litter bin will take a fairly big package, will go undisturbed for quite some time allowing the terrorist to get somewhere safe;
    - Placing two bombs, with the second set to go off after people have run from the first is a classic terrorist tactic. To be effective the second bomb needs to remain undiscovered for some time, and again putting a bomb in bin is a good hiding place.
    - A bin is likely to be in the middle of public areas, so causing maximum carnage, with the bin also contributing to the shrapnel.

    A similar sized package left elsewhere would either be discovered more rapidly, put the terrorist at risk of capture or injury, or cause less damage to people.

    I would prefer the world to not be as it is, but unfortunately it is, and I cannot see it changing anytime soon, because their are some mad, bad and inventive people out there.

    A woman's high heeled shoe. I mean really, how drunk do you have to be not to realize that you've lost a shoe?

    You may not have seen the shoe that was lost, you may have seen the shoe the drunk woman threw away after realising she had lost the other one. :rotfl:

    Why do people drop litter?

    Because we pay people to pick it up after them.

    Young kids learn that if they leave their dirty clothes on their bedroom floor their mum will pick them up, wash, iron and put them away. If they make a sandwich they don't have to clean up after them selves, just leave it and mum will do it.

    Husbands are no better, they will do the same, and worse, knowing their wife will clean up after them.

    So they go out into the street and drop things, knowing someone is paid to clean up after them.

    Then there's the litter collectors, if people didn't drop litter they would be on the dole.

    Anyone see that guy from Monty Python take the train across China?

    I was brought up to take our litter home with us if there was no bin where we were......That stays with me right through life and I feel very guilty if I accidently drop anything, I have to go chase and pick up even the smallest bit of paper.
    I blame the parents to a large extent for todays problems, but then I was also brought up to respect our elders and would be told off by any adult if I was doing something wrong and I was too scared to talk back to them. The threat of my parents hearing about any mischief was enough.
