I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem but the only way to know for sure is to ring your HR department and ask the question (you can do so anonymously.)

    Hi LBL,

I can't see that the service would be interested unless they thought he might set fire to your home for the insurance,if I remember rightly the highest % of jobs for an arsonist is the FB.

Laybylover??? certainly got my imagination going Hope you can put my mind at rest

    Hi,

Perhaps give the union a call. You can then chat confidentially. I would not have though that BR in fire service would offer any kind of risk unless you are in a financial/advisory/accounting role in the service.

    Hope helps,

Dez and I obviously have the same sort of mind:D

I would have thought if the didn't credit check him before they gave him the job they aren't likely to mind once he's working for them.
