refund not forthcoming...

to recap i was paying a debt to ndr for an old catalogue an ex took out in my name...when he left i didnt know about it so never paid and wouldntve paid anyway as it wasnt my account...

i got a letter from ndr threatening me before i stumbled on this site, hence, being scared i offered them £10 month and paid for a couple of years....

i then stumbled across this site and was give advice and told to ask for the monies paid back as they originally told me i was responsible for the debt because it was taken out at my address.....

i sent ndr the letter on 15july asking for a full refund, but, havent heard anything off them since.....it is about £300 they owe me....

so - any suggestions as to what to do now? should i now report them to oft and if yes, how should i word it and what is the address pleas

thanks once again...

    Hi

Did you ever request a CCA? If so, what turned up?

I suppose what I am getting at is that this card was acquired fraudulently, so you should not have paid it even if in your name.

yes i went down the cca route at first when i came across this site and i also explained to them that the account wasnt in my name anyway - they acknowledged the fact it wasnt in my name and passed it back....it wasnt a card - it was with littlewoods.....

i know this was fraudalent but, i did explain to them i wouldnt even know where to start looking for my ex and wouldnt want him coming back into my life as he is a violent person....

so - what do you reckon? do i carry on asking for my refund or just leave it be? do i refer them to oft or just leave it?

    thanks

I think you need to talk to the police about getting this reported as fraud, then go back to NDR with the crime number and point out that they are in receipt of money that was obtained by deception (yours) - whopps rephase that - your money not your deception.

have you spoken to NDL recently about this?

You need to do a bit of research and find a name at the top of littlewoods. Send them another recorded letter explaining what has gone on. I would also report it to the police and tell them that you will be doing so.

    Good idea sammy.

Magoogy, report the crime then write a formal letter of complaint to the CEO at Littlewoods and NDR, copied into the OFT and the OFT and see how fast they jump.

id be too scared to report this to the police as it was someone i knew even though i wouldnt know where to find him now as its been years since i last saw him...i wouldnt want to name him to the police as i wouldnt want no comeback.....i honestly dont want to be going to any police - i would just sooner lose the money....i hope that doesnt sound bad?

    thanks though all

    OK

You could always try sending a stinking letter to the CEOs and hope.
