becoming a courier

hi i'm thinking of becoming a courier and would like to know roughly how much money you get per week and if anyone could recommend any good courier companies.
any help would be much appreciated

I think its about 13-15k per year, i would reccmoned
DHL - Worldwide not the securicor part
UPS - Long hours but have a good bonus scheme
both of the above are very good to work for, i would avoid some Lynx- as have just been bought by UPS and Nightspeed have been bought by amtrak
DHL used to do a good owner driver scheme. if you need some contact details for UPS or DHL i have them both.
I haven't worked as a driver but worked for DHL for 5 years UPS for 2 and Nightspeed breifly.
I personnally would avoid most of the franchises business....The futures bright the future is Ginger0 -
I used to have a Kays catalogue that used local couriers (people working from home in their own cars) to deliver catalogue parcels and take returns. I'm not sure who that was with, but ringing the catalogues might give you some contacts.Here I go again on my own....0

White arrow, are the company, (though changed name to Reality and now owned by the littlewoods brothers) ....easy parttime job..
again when i worked for dhl offshore the other part of the company handled the white arrow contract, they were paid something like a pound a delivery but i think the owner drivers may get moreThe futures bright the future is Ginger0
