Consent to Let Criteria

Hi,

I have the opportunity to live somewhere rent free for the foreseeable future and have been contemplating letting my house in the mean time to pay off the mortgage quicker.

As I understand it I need to request the consent to let from my lender the 'One Account' but I'm wondering what the criteria for allowing this would be? I don't think I would qualify for a BTL mortgage as the rent minus management fees would only cover the interest only mortgage.

I'd cash out if I could but I suspect unless I reduced my price to something a FTB could fit on a credit card I will not be selling (but that's another story).

Thanks,
Ross.
