Fee free mortgages???

My partner an i went to Nationwide at the weekend as our current 2 year mortgage is coming to an end
They have just taken out all fees (except one) when you switch to a new mortgage which save £600+ which is great but the mortgae we were quoted wasnt great
Does anyone know of any other companies that are running similar schemes at the moment because i would like to change the supplier if it means saving but i dont want to fork out hundreds of pounds to do so
Thanks

Nationwide are only doing that no fees offer for existing mortgage customers (ie like yourself who already has a Nationwide mortgage). I suspect you'll find other lenders will at best be doing the same for their own customers which obviously means you wouldn't qualify because you'd be a new customer, not an existing one. Certainly having been searching for a couple of weeks for my own mortgage (also switching from Nationwide), Ive not found any competitive 2/3/5 year fixed deals without fees of around £500 or more.My Excel Mortgage Calculator Spreadsheet: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=11571730

Northern rock are doing a deal with no fees, 5 yr fixed at 6.59% .
Anyone know if it would be risky taking a mortgage with NR given their financial crisis a few months back??
