does my ppi apply??
ive been reading about claiming back ppi's that dont apply.i got a loan a few years ago.i dont work as im a full time mum.my other half earns the money.the loan is totally in my name even though it will be my partner who is in charge of earning the money to pay it back.we were advised to take out a ppi which covers if sick and off work or job loss etc,but obviously that does not apply to me as they knew i didnt work.could i claim the ppi back??

How many hours per week do you work?
Most consider 16 hours per week the minimum to be able to claim.0 -
i dont work at all.im at home with the kids while other half works0

Then it could be a case of miss-selling but only if they did not point out to you what exactly you are covered for.
For instance they might have informed you that you would not be covered for the unemployment side of things but you would be covered for the sickness, life cover etc.
If they can't prove that they did this I think you may well have a case for a full refund of premium plus interest.0 -
Is the loan in your sole name? If it's in joint names it might be him that is covered.Kavanne

did u work when applying for the loan orginally?
of not, then you should not have had a loan anyhow, because what income was keyed?
or is it a joint loan? as kavanne says = sometimes 1st person covered0 -
the loan is in my name only.i did not work at all when applying.i explained it would be other halfs work and money paying it back so they took down his figures.but the loan and ppi is in my name only0

we put the loan in my name as my other half has a bad credit score and his bank account is a cash account so no direct debits etc can go from it.just easier in my name.they didnt even ask about it being in his name tho.just did it in my name with his wages0 -
From what you have said I would certainly investigate a refund of PPI and interest.0
