    Ah, thank you!!

It has taken me 3 years I suppose, but I paid £10,000 off this year, and £5,000 last year, the rest of the time I was just about stuggling to make minimum repayments & keep my head above water, and also train myself to live within my means (that took a while in itself!!).

I have put my life on hold though and it hasnt been fun, so I took it to the extreme. I suppose its about balance, between having a life at the same time as repaying debt.

Have you posted before? Do you need any "debt free wannabe" advice? We would all be happy to help.

    xx

thank you for your quick response!

I have posted and lurked and taken on the advice that people have given and have incorporated changes into my own life.

the only thing I cant stop doing is buying clothes!!! But then again, it comes out of my £50 a week allowance so its not that bad!

its a great site, isnt it?

    well done again!

I used to be the same, by now I dont buy clothes, not even as a once a month treat. I do enjoy looking in Charity Shops (infact most of my clothes are from there, clothes originally from Next, Warehouse, River Island etc etc, for a fraction of the cost), and also car boots & the cheaper stores like Primark/Peacocks....

But as you say, if that is your weakness, but you are still within budget, it is your money to do with as you please. At least you have something to show for it, as more often than not, money is just frittered away....

Yep, definately a great site. I am so pleased I found it, thats for sure. Also thefool.co.uk is another favourite, but not as good as here of course :0)
