Recycle silver?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what to do with scrap silver? Is there a charity or other recycling facility that will take it?
The items I have are of very low value - just some broken sterling silver jewellery - but even so it seems a waste to throw it into the bin after so much effort has gone into its production. I'm sure other MSErs have similar bits and pieces around the house. So what d'ya do with it
