Yes, as others have said the common theme here is mortgage-obsession. some suffer with spreadsheet-obsession too, although there are various degrees of that going from mild cases to the full on StuartGMC! Spreadsheets are a good way of tracking progress and calculating next steps though. As and when you get to the point of wanting to make your saving a more general affair then check out the Old Style board - lots of good ideas over there for sneaky penny saving.
