What's your mood today?

My glass tends to be half empty and I would love to be a 'half full' person. My mood has changed so many times today, pee'd off when I got rained on again, :rotfl: happy when we all sat down to eat a roast dinner and had a real giggle around the table.
What's your mood today on this mid August SUMMER day?

Hiya Ruby
I'm in a tetchy mood today and to be honest think I need to stop posting on the board today or I'm going to upset someone!!!
I'm trying so hard to work hard in a job I hate to pay off these damn bills so I can get a better life for us all and I am sick of reading posts about people who have got debts because they had to give up work because they had depression or didn't like the job etc etc etc and its making me mad and now they're on benefits there isn't enough to pay everything, benefits aren't supposed to give people a flush lifestyle! I know everyone can fall on hard times but I have suffered with depression all my life (even been hospitalised when I was younger) but have to keep going cos I have a family to support, I get mad when I see what some peoples incomes are that are made up of benefits and its the same (or even more sometimes) as what I'm earning full time, I sometimes wonder if I would be better giving up work and living off the state, at least I'd be at home with my kids all the time
I am sorry if my ramblings have upset anybody, please just ignore me I am just feeling sorry for myself and feeling very fed up!

Millie, join me in the stroppy mare corner!
I too am fed up today, furniture won't go together properly, room is a tip and I have so much to do and NOTHING is working AT ALL. All I have done is look at all the crap I own that got me into this stupid mess in the first place.
I am going to go and sulk!
and no that won't achieve a damn thing but I don't care!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
ooooohhh Ruby!!
I keep saying this but the best advice I was given is that no one ever made a fortune in a job they didn't like. I walked out of a well paid job I didn't like because I felt I had to stay to pay the bills and debts. BUT I struggled to get out of bed every day and found my low confidence getting even lower. I know if I had stayed any longer I would have been one of those people suffering from depression maybe living on benefits.
Millie, can you not find a job doing something you would really like to do....
Big hug anyway.
As to the OP I am a glass half full person married to a glass half empty person. At the moment he thinks life is coming to an end with the credit crunch, house prices etc. It gets quite wearing....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Can't say I'm having the best day ever, I go from singing I will survive, Gloria Gaynor to myself, to singing On my own, Michael Mcdonald!!!

I'm confused and its leading me to be a bit down.
Basically I have a job interview on Tuesday morning, and am certain to be offered more money in the short term, and I really don't know what to do for the best.0 -
Thanks everyone for replying.
Hi MillieM
Ranting is allowed, hence my original question. I take your point and know what you mean, sometimes it can seem like others are better off. When DH and I moved into our first house, the day before we paid our 1st mortgage payment he got made redundant. That same week we moved my DB into a brand new 2 bed council house, with bigger garden, rooms and with a grant for furniture!!!!
I am probably a glass in the middle person if I was honest, but do feel I am a realist and married to an ostrich!!!
Buffy I hope your DIY situation improves!!

Well, I know that the money is gonna come in my current job, I am just going to have to wait slightly longer for it. Last week I was certain I wanted out due to being annoyed at the money (or lack of) but now i'm wavering. I would be leaving a company that gave me a chance when others may have not, and one that has spent thousands on my development. Whilst I am feeling down with work at the minute I feel like I owe them some loyalty.
Another factor is that I have a car as a work benefit, an amount is deducted from my wage every month to pay for it. If I left I would have to give it back, and buy a car, and I can't afford it, and I am sure that the monthly spends on maintenance, insurance and then spends on tax/mot and actually buying the car would be far more than I lose from my wage now.
I have been thinking that if I am not 100% sure i want to live I should just sit it out for the time being.0
