Clear 4k overdraft

Have got a 4k overdraft that i really need to start getting rid of , its with halifax current account and am currently paying about £50 month interest hich is just adding to it!!!
Have got quite a good credit rating already got a loan of 3k which is dd every month.
Am currently on mat leave, so income gonna be mega low this year about 5k .
After any advice on best way to start taking control, thinking about a loan and just getting rid of overdraft completely and setting myself strict budget.
Monthly repayments will have to be fairly low.
Or can you transfer balance to 0% cc, but am thinking this not best way as usually 0% ends after year. And will defo take me longer than that!!
Any advice appreciated.

  • Hi, Sorry i'm not sure what to advise!! The only thing i can think of is to check out the up your income boards. Surveys, Ebay and cutting down your SOA is the best place to start. Sorry i can't be of more help!!! Will keep checking back though! Tink xx

    Hi Chezzer

As suggested, posting up a SOA will help us to see if there are any savings you can make. If your credit rating is not too bad then getting a 0% card may not be a problem - when that runs out, just get another 0% card. There is also the option of trying for a Life of balance card (LOB - low interest)

Note - as it is an overdraft, it would need to be a card that could do a "super balance transfer".
