I must admit, my first thought would be to do it by hand. But then my machine only has a flat bed, not a free arm & is very old & basic.
But I have to confess that I had to do the hems of the trousers I am wearing at the moment, last week .... I used wundaweb.......0 -
I usually hem my trousers by hand, but if I have to take up jeans I use the machine so I get the stitching round the bottom.

I use pinking shears to cut the cloth then just tack up about an inch with wonderweb.
I told a professional seamstress this and she was horrified, but hey, I'm a bloke.
I only do this with cheapo trousers and jeans, for anything really expensive I would get a tailor to do it.'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0
