Can someone tell me if you have to put any credit on these? I read the T & C's but couldn't work it out. I have a phone for my son but it does not have a SIM card in it-I don't want to put any credit on it, I just want to be able to phone him. Thanks for any help you can give.

yes i ordered some but wih the ones where you can only have up to 2 but i got 2 yesterday and two today so incase everones just wondering that they don come like i was they do come through the post!!!! :):):):):):):):):):)

They are activated as soon as you put them in your phone. You do not need to apply any credit to receive calls. However, they will become inactive after 6 months if you fail to make a chargeable call within the previous 6 months.

Obviously you need to put some credit on them before you can make a chargeable call.

Minimum top up charge is £10.

So with upto 4 currently on offer, you could receive calls for upto 2 years (don't put them all in the phone on the day you get them though!) Your son will have a new number every 6 months though.

With the frequency that O2 offer these free sims, and you being happy that your son has a different phone number every six months, you can do this for free for ever (well until they stop giving away free sims)
