Winning Wendy?

Just been reading Chat magazine Issue 31 and the story on page 37 titled I'm winning Wendy. Was wondering if maybe she's on here? It says she only enters 10 comps a week, but juding by the prizes she's won, she must be lucky!

If she only does 10 comps a week she can't be an MSE'r! We're all addicted! 10 comps a minute maybe :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yeah ten a week isn't a lot, but apparently she does postcard competitions. I used to do these ages ago, but gave it up because I as spending as fortune on stamps.

Do any of you still do Postcard comps? Maybe the entry rate is low for these kind of comps and that's why her winning rate is so high!

If you don't want to spend out on stamps for postcard competitions, you could sign up for the Royal Mail Survey. http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=400126&mediaId=21000423

They send you 18 first class stamps each month as a thank you for taking part. I have been participating for a few weeks and so far it is only a matter of posting two letters per week and filling in a (very) short online form. I received my free stamps just one week after signing up and the next batch are due in a week or so.

If not comping, you could save them for your Christmas cards!

Well! I think I may have to change my name to Wendy!

Did you know that this name was invented by J.M. Barrie for his play "Peter Pan"

    See this from "Wikipedia"

Wendy is a female name. Its popularity is attributed to the character Wendy Darling from the children's play and novel Peter Pan, by J.M. Barrie. The character Wendy was inspired by a real girl. Barrie befriended young Margaret Henley, daughter of Barrie's friend W.E. Henley. Margaret used to call him 'my friendy-wendy'. Margaret died at the age of four in 1894 but was immortalized forever in Barrie's work. Although the name 'Wendy' appears as a boy's name in the 1881 census of England, Barrie is usually credited with its invention as a girl's name.

    This is so poignant!

must be sheer luck she is winning with 10 comps a week, i do loads of postal comps, more than 10 a week and have only won a big prize once and thats since december, maybe its more creative comps she does, tiebreakers etc as those get lower entries
