Freezing mint to make mint tea

I like mint tea and usually put some sprigs in a mug and let them infuse for a while before I drink the tea.
Does anyone know whether you can freeze mint whole or would it disintegrate when I put the sprigs into hot water.
(I would go out and cut some to try it myself but it is absolute pouring down at the moment so thought I would ask for advice instead!)

You can freeze mint but I normally just freeze it chopped for cooking. I'd imagine that the whole leaves might go a bit mushy if you froze them for tea, but as you're growing it it's cheap enough to give it a go and see what happens

You could try drying it - you might loose a bit of the colour and 'fresh' taste but again it's worth a go to see if it works.0 -
Can I just pop a query on here ? It is to do with mint so not totally off topic.
I've a load of chocolate mint in the garden..............is it possible to dry this and store it in jars ? I'm thinking of possible adding them to baskets for christmas as a possibility.
ThanksMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

You can dry chocolate mint but I don't think it has the best flavour when it's dried ... Might be worth trying a few sprigs and seeing what it tastes and smells like when it's dried, before you do loads and loads.0
