Edinburgh man with a van
Long story shortened, my boyfriend left me a month ago, I've had to find somewhere to move quickly, I'm now moving on Thursday (which I had to borrow money for) and so I've been phoning around asking for quotes for a man with a van. I'm moving from one fully furnished flat to another so don't have all that much stuff, big tv, microwave, couple of suitcases/boxes.
I'm being quoted around £50, just wondering if there anyone knew of cheaper? I really don't have £50 at the moment. What nightmare this is, thanks for any help.

Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.

Would it be worth asking a local taxi company and doing the lifting yourself. The bigger style taxis would probably have enough space.0

I was going to get a taxi but don't think my things would fit in one so would probably have to do two trips. Would end up just as expensive and there's no chance I can carry all the things downstairs by myself. I used one to get here but I have more things now.Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
you could probably rent a van for a few hours for less than £50,i think i saw arnold clark doing a van for 4 hours from £15,not sure what this includes, then get a mate to help with the lifting. if i was closer i would help....work permit granted!0
