Get the cc company to confirm in writing that it is paid off and then leave it! Do you have a Fairy Godmother?? And can I borrow her?!?!?

  • This happened to me earlier this year, Intelligent Finance (contradiction in terms) for some reason wrote off my credit card. I asked them if it was right. They said yes. I got them to confirm it in writing. They have. Not heard a thing in 7 months...... just wish they'd do the same with the mortgage!!

Whoever these people send them my way and tell them I have a loan that could do with being paid for me!!!!

  • Is this for real?? I'd be worried that the 'person' that paid it off would realise it was a mistake or something and demand the money back!!

    thats totally possible.

But if you get in writing that its closed/paid off then they would have to refund it. they cant take it back from you.

Manke sure you get it in writing, someone high up as well !
