The turnips on my lotty are starting to be ready to pick. I know you can eat the tops but my googling has not turnd up many recipes for cooking simply.
There are references to throwing the first lot of water away after it has come to the boil because of bitterness.
Has anyone eaten them?

I have eaten young turnip leaves from thinning out the row. I put them in a pan, pour boiling water on them and let them steep for a few minutes. I haven't tried mature turnip leaves, they are usually to slug-nibbled for my liking!0
