Great find. Order £100 or more of groceries from Sainsburys online and delivery will be free on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, saving you about £5.
Read the Supermarket Shopping article for more food cost-cutting and an online comparison to find your cheapest supermarket.

Had an email from Sainsburys.. they are now offering free delivery on internet grocery orders over £100 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. :j
" The reason we do this is because there is higher demand on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. By spreading the number of deliveries more evenly throughout the week we can offer a consistently high standard of service. This means we are able to use our vans more efficiently, reducing our impact on the environment."
I usually get mine delivered on Fridays but if I have it a day early then I save about £6... extra bottle of wine for me then!! :rotfl:

Yes you are quite right they are funny at the areas where they go to.
We used to live with 1/2 mile of sainsburys, yet the store they delivered from was about 5 miles away.
Now we live no where nr one,yet they offer delivery from 8 miles away.
Cant figure them out.
MInd you supposed to be cutting down on the shopping,so not gonna spend over 100 pound to get free delivery, although if your gonna spend that anyway you might as well take the offer up,although they say they put more vans on the road, give us a 1hr slot, then increase the price.
the other month i could get mine delivered for 2.50,if i chose a mid-week delivery slot. They said they've changed to give us more options, but forgot to mention the price increase on del.Arrgggg.0 -
No all stores offer the delivery service, they used to not like 2 stores who were close to each other not offering internet deliveryNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

More stores are offering the delivery service as time goes on. A lot of Stores now start delivering now when they have Refits as they are given the new facilities.0

I don't actually like Sainsburys and always find it a problem finding stuff to buy there (prices and additives are my main beefs) apart from own brand decaff coffee filters which are nice and their organic white bread which was the only one which doesn't contain (soya which makes me ill). Now their organic stuff does contain soya (organic soya of course) so I have no real reason to shop there apart from the decaff coffee filters (the ones you stick on top of the mug) which my family history group like.:D0
