off out in a mo otherwise believe me i could bombard you questions all day lol! nice weather where i am tho - not!
we have just stopped paying the loans last month so letters and calls are starting already, luckily the majority come from the business account so thats already overdrawn so we dont need that account! and a huge whopper of £700pm from my account!
my mum has kindly allowed us to use her spare bank account (basic) so am managing to pay household bills without anyone dipping into my measely part time wages.:T
ive spoke to business debt helpline and they helped with expenditure etc.. :A
1 question? we already have one supplier (we owe him £700) who has gone to money claim online (northampton) to threaten us with the courts, how does that work? will we have to pay that because its gone to a court or does that get put with the rest of the creditors by next week?
also when we go to court thursday and we give them our petition will we be offically BR as of 14.08.08 and thats what we start telling people who are chasing us? also will we have to see anyone them or will they write to us and give us a hearing date?:rolleyes:Declared BR 21/08/20080 -
Any CCJ that you may get in the meantime from the other supplier would get trumped by bankruptcy. From what you have posted, all they have done so far is issue documents and you have not actually had a court date?? If so you do still need to defend them - don't ignore them. Defend that you are going BR on Thursday. I would do this as to take it further will cost them money and at least you are letting them know your position - its then their decision as what to do next.
If you already have the CCJ then ensure its listed on your BR petition. Its included in BR so there is nothing they can do.
I would not bother calling or telling creditors beforehand about BR. In some cases on here it has helped but in the majority of other the calls have intensified up to BR day. Once you have been made BR, then respond with any letters or calls with just your BR reference numbers and ask them to contact the OR now. It will take a short while for them to die off.0 -
Depends on your court as to if you are declared bc the same day. Most yes but the odd one here(scotland have different system)require you to go back the nxt day to see the judge. Ig you want to tell s which court it is then perhaps a poster will have experience of that said court and be able to tell you what it's like.
As far as the OR is concerned you usually get a brief chat by phone on the day of bc(either whilst still in court or later at home)then they willsend some paperwork for you to sign and send back and give you a date/time for your interview.

Thanks for that, he tells us he has 30 years + experience so it kind of makes you want to reply/depend on him as he obviously knows the whole process from start to finish.
Ummin and rrrinn at the mo so i suppose my intuition is telling me to question what exactly he can do for us at that cost
I had 1 months experience of all things BR and all gleaned from the posters on this forum. I did the whole BR thing myself using the online forms.
OK, I ain't exactly fick, but I ain't no Steven Hawking either.
Save yourself the money, do the forms online, and ask any questions you might on this forum. Job done!:j0 -
