I'll just keep my fingers crossed for now :). I'm working christmas eve, boxing day & the day after, but that's my last day :D. I'm never working in a shop again lol. That said, on Friday I did get three of these http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=121312 , and with the 3 for 2 & my discount they worked out at only £12.90 each, so I suppose it does have perks. They are normally £60 for one & they've sold out so I'm glad I got in when I did.

We'd better get a £1 bonus and double scratches for christmas ;).

Nicky that's a really good idea about the jewellery. You do so well on Etsy you should definitely go for it. I would love to take mine more seriously but until dd2 is a bit older and we're not relying on tax credits for her nursery fees so much I'll have to stick to doing it for fun, but I can get all the practice in now.

Off to watch northern lights, see you all tomorrow

Thanks Yukki, I'm trying to wait for the exchange rate to get a bit better so I can order some supplies as I have lots of ideas I can't action at the moment. When I make some new bits I might post a few pics and you people can tell me if you think there might be a market for it. I'd really love to make jewellery for a living, I don't think I have the personality to do a normal job day in day out for years lol. Even being able to have a part time regular job would be a huge bonus.

hi Nicki- that's a good idea about the jewellery, if I were you I'd look into copyright though as shops could take your designs for themselves, I think you just have to write a phrase about the designs belonging to you or something? I may be being paranoid but I don't want you to get ripped off as your designs are brill . Just put a price list in with the items with your wholesale prices and/ or sale or return prices and a bit about you too. Also I would give the shops a followup call if u don't hear anything . In person would be best after a phone call. At least they would have already seen your jewellery so you have a head start. Good luck!!!

Thanks for mentioning that mm, I hadn't even thought about the copyright issue. I guess I have a lot to think about! I so want this http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/store/dix_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1112452533.1229894392@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccciadefmhdfkkecflgceggdhhmdfhk.0&page=Accessory&sku=768897 , my sister bought a new computer earlier, this one is £900 in the shops but I've got it down to £760 with discount codes. It's on pay £25 for 5 months then the balance at 0% on the 6th month, technically the tax I'll claim back could pay for half of it, but I'm still not going to do it. I so wish I could though, it's so lovely and it has freeview built in so I could stick it in my room and not even need a TV lol.
