why don;t you put up a for sale add for the wii in tesco, or some local notice boards, the local paper etc

  • Yeah actually my mam suggested that - they have a board in our Wilkinsons and also Asda, so I might try it. I worked out that on ebay if I sold it for £150 + £20 p&p, I'd end up with £150 profit. So if I could get £150-160 cash I'd be happy. Only thing i worry about is if there's a problem with it and the buyer comes back to me and complains OR if they try haggling me - I'm not very good at dealing with people! :S

i would decide a price and stay no offers maybe just go for £160 cash only. Is it new boxed sealed etc. If you say no offers you don't have to worry about haggling etc. Could a friend deal with selling it for you? just think of the cash a great time to sell just before x mas

  • Yep, it's brand new with wii sports - I won it from Mercedes Benz a few months ago. They have the same package in Argos for £179.99 so I think £160 seems reasonable for it? That way someone will be getting a bargain, and i'll be saved the hassle of ebay and will end up with £10 more too!

I just wonder whether the warranty will be valid because I obviously don't have a receipt... I think I'd give the person who buys it the letter from Mercedes, so if they do have any problems with it then they can always tell the manufacturer that it was a competition prize!

I think my mam would deal with the person who buys it - she's good at that stuff!

  • Are you just doing dooyoo for the amazon vouchers now?

I've given up on a lot of cashback sites now I've reached payout on most of them. I only bother doing clicks on 4 or 5 of them. Same with survey sites... especially Valued Opinions. I've had £9.90 in my account for 3 months and I haven't had a single survey from them since. I'm sure it's deliberate!

edit: Ooh I've just checked my mobile as I had it on silent in college, and I've missed three calls - all from a withheld number. I hope it wasn't a competition prize :(
