  • Oh I'm a new on on this thread - don't know why as want, want, want is exactly me!

I'm keen to get rid of my Egg credit card (they wanted rid of me) and it's focused my mind on getting rid of this debt. At the moment, it's at £1733 and I'm making payments of £110 a month by direct debit to get it down. About £500 has come off the balance since I started with these regular payments.

I've asked them if they will reduce the APR on this given my commitment to regular payments, but I'm sure they'll say no! Anyhow, I've also sent i na SAR request to see what charges there have been in this card and if I can claim them back, I sure will. If there are anything like my other cards from the period of my unemployment a few years back, then there will be about £300 worth on this. If I can get these back (plus interest) it will reduce the date I can get rid of this by about 3 months.

In terms of 'nice wants', I really really want a Digital Multitrack portable recording studio. I used to write loads of songs and stopped about 4 years ago. I still notes of my my thoughts and things throughout the day and I would like to be in a position to record these as I used to love making music.

Due to Edinburgh bleedin' Council undercharging my council tax some 5 years ago, I've now agreed to pay them pay the £600 they didn't ask for at the time by making an extra payment of £100 a month for the next 6 months (gulp!) Had it not been for that, I would have one of these lovely devices much sooner.

Longer-term I want to do up my bathroom as the one I have is aquamarine and I know exactly what I want in the new one, and I'd also love a new PC as mine has 2GB of memory left - eek!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Hi bathgatebuyer, welcome to our home on DFW.

Sorry Jen don;t get those cereals.

We just went out for lunch and got it FREE!! Basically we ordered the food, could tell they were short staffed. The food came out cold so we sent it back and then OH's was forgotten about so I had eaten mine by the time he eventually got his again. We were offered free desserts or a refund so we took the refund and they refunded the drinks as well, which was a bargain.
The food was actually quite nice when we got it hot, but dd2 was eating it too so I didnt want to risk giving her luke warm chicken.

Loads of other people were complaining about cold food or wrong food, and sometimes half the table had food and half the table didn;t etc. The poor manageress, I felt quite sorry for her. They must have lost so much money today

Sorry meant to say have a fab time Hayley!!!!!

Jen I have bits in my freezer from weeks ago. Why do I buy stuff if I'm not going to eat it? Surely I must have wanted to eat it as I bought it? Lol I never understand that bit
