thanks all- I was waiting for the onslaught of abuse for putting myself back in debt!! It will be £200 a month but that will be minimum payment.
Hi mariagti, tax should be the same, bit more petrol and slight rise in insurance but not too bad.

On a serious note, just thinking about it, i do think its an ok thing for you to do because you havent change your original goals.

Your dates have moved around (i.e. debt free will be after you have the Mini etc.) but the original goal of paying off debt, getting a mini by the time you are 40, are still all there.

A different order of things can sometimes be a very good thing. :D

mm if you had taken a loan or car credit we would have not been impressed because it would have been silly. but you have shown you are being responsible and you have thought about it a lot and you can do it and be debt free again in a few years!! will you get anything for your old car?

thanks Jen- yep should get about a grand for it so that would go straight back off the debt.
Not 100% it's actually going to happen so I'm going to have to calm down a bit!!!
