Jen, thats exactly the problem I had with my broadband.
Do you have a broadband box? If you do, try resetting it. There may be a pinhole at the back, if you stick a pen in for 5 secs and it should reset it.
Thats what i did with mine, eventually and it worked.

Make sure you know your passwords etc before u do that coz I did that and ended up back at the computer shop!0
