yeah about £ 867 worth would be nice! Should have a tenner in butlins scratchcard by end of sep hopefully. Wish that tenner from bingocafe would confirm on mbm so they would payout . And William hill on quidco . Only 2 weeks til payday!!!!
  • Wow, I just experienced the whole ebay excitement! Never sold anything before but found a few things when we were packing that we thought we might make a couple of pounds on - 4 things sold for £54!!!!! And they were all things that we were going to just throw away - who would have thought! We have to move next weekend so I don't think we'll be able to get any more stuff sold but its a good start! 2 people have paid straight away so we just have to wait for the next 2 so we can send it all and have it out of the way!
    How exciting!

Anyone have any suggestions for worthy causes for getting rid of books. Most of them I could only list for 1p on Amazon and I listed a couple on green metropolis but no luck yet. Don't really want to cart books I don't want to a new house and clutter it up just as much as here! Was thinking Oxfam but don't know any around here to drop them off to! Think its such a waste to just throw them out - maybe the library would want them (got enough to open a library of my own I think)? Suggestions?

hi Aussie brill news about your eBay sales!!!! As for books like Jen says hospital or hospice or any other local charity shops .
  • Thanks Jen and MM - Hadn't thought of the hospital/hospice idea - not sure they'd like some of our fantasy/science fiction books but might be able to sort them into a couple of different piles for different places. And I think there's a charity shop in Willesden Green where we are moving that might take books and any other kinda useful carp that we discover! We have hired a car for next weekend so may be able to take a load while it is easier.

One of the ebay items went for £21 when I only spend £25 on it new so I'm well impressed!
