But it had £256 in it so going to bank tomorrow to pay in and Monday i can ring Northern Rock and clear loan and put rest in ISA :j

    I feel a little guilty though :(

  • Thats brilliant Lilmiss, thats a great amount to have in your sealed pot. It will be so good when all the debt is gone and you have lots of money left over to start your savings, WELL DONE HUN!!!!!

Don't feel guilty about the pot, it had to be smashed one day, and today is that day :-)

    xx

  • It def had to be open. Your nearing debt free now so it was a good time for it to be smashed. Are you going to get another to help save for your future? or will it all just go into the ISA now???

I'm really considering getting a sealed pot now and just putting every £2 coin i get in there, hopefully it will add up to around £200 likes yours :-). I went to buy one a few weeks ago but the pink one I really wanted was £16.99 and i don't trust getting one from ebay, it would probably arrived smashed knowing my luck.

I got mine from eBay, came ok was well wrapped.

I am going to ask for one for Christmas and start saving again i think but now i am a few days away from being debt free and my money is working for me i might just put it all in savings as although it was fun putting the coins in my lovely little pot isn't earning me any interest.

WD Lilmiss, you did much better than me in the sealed pot challenge, my piggy bank only lasted about 4 months before it got raided! :) You must get tones of £2 coins!

WD dawn on your sealed pot, don't worry it's open early, it's a fab amount.
