I'm going to update my signature momentarily...
But I've got £3000 in overdraft and credit card due to unemployment and head in sand moments this year! I almost had it paid off then it all went wrong in February, quite spectacularly!
So now my idea is to have the debts paid off by February 2009 by a variety of methods...
Using Quidco religiously!
Opening an Alliance and Leicester account, get the bonus and set up a standing order to pay off my overdraft
Any money I earn goes straight into overdraft account while I use my A&L account with no overdraft to live.
Credit card will take battering as I pay a payment every week.
Then from February my gimme gimme gimme moment...
Actually not use any debt to purchase a PS3!!! For cheap blu-ray purposes only!
Go on Holiday to Malaysia in May 2009
Save £5000 by September 2009
And possibly get a car in some way shape or form!
I can dream! But if I write this down then I'll get this done! :snow_laug The laughing snowman says BRING IT ON!!! Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
Wow walshy, that would be great if you can achieve all that.
OH has decided he doesn;t want to pay off all our debt this month as we need a new printer, so instead a chunk will go to debt and some to a printer and some to a matched bet float so hopefully can recoup quickly.0 -

Morning all,
Sorry for disappearing last night, a pile of washing about 6ft high had to be tackled :S I ironed a lacy bit of my sister's top and it melted all over the iron, d'oh, so I have to clean the iron and finish the rest of it off. I hate housework...
Anyway, I'm 21 (just!). No debt anymore... I took a student loan of £5K but couldn't stand the thought of £35 interest being added every month so paid it off with some of my savings. I have about £15K left, most of it in a bond and in my ISAs. I wasted most of my teenage years but I'm trying to get back on course now, in the hope that in a few years time I'll be a qualified accountant earning a nice little sum, and will be able to afford my own home!
Hope you're all having a good day xxx0 -
done load and loads on piggyback so it should be enough for a voucher when they add them!
