  • Can I join the debt free party at the end of the month?

Got £101 left but we're expecting about £240 back from bond for the last place and £150 back from overpayments for power and gas! It is a bit bittersweet as I know we are going to have to pay the £750 for OHs visa application sometime this month and possibly £1000 uni fees for me so we are not going to be debt free for long! I'll still celebrate the initial debtfreeness with you guys if that's ok!!!

I can't believe everyone is so close to being debt free - well done guys!

So how has everyone's weekend been? I went to a REM concert last night and have spent the rest of the weekend being lazy and trying to motivate myself to unpack boxes! As well as updating all my finances stuff as we were both paid and it's so close to the first of the month. It's been fun!

  • Not me, need the motivation and inspiration to keep up the DFW thinking! And its great to hear how well everyone is doing - we have to stick around to hear how MM gets her mini, your trip to NY, and see how many comps Jen wins to add to her house fund, keep up with Amy and Hayleys debt free journeys and everyone else that I can't think of right now!

    Evening guys,

My William Hill has been declined as well, i think i will put in an enquiry too

MM - did you use the 50% off Pizza Hut voucher when you went? it got emailed around with Martins money tips for the week of 27th Aug? if you don't get it emailed sign up, its really good.

Amy - well done on not spending anything at Bluewater today, how do you manage it? i always spend soooo much when i go there.

I done a bootsale today and made £50 :j but i'm not sure if getting up at 5.30 on a Sunday morning is worth £50, hmmmm. My OH made nearly £200 so he's a happy chappy. He was selling big items, car bits he took out his last car, stereos etc.

Everyone is doing so well. I'll be in the party for the end of the month, might not be debt free but wil still come to the party,

Just been for dinner to friends, nsd but took wine and plus wat they had oh is sozzled and asleep on my hip (he doesn't usually drink wine) and I can feel my head buzzing but not drunk. dd2 was soooo tired bless her which is why we came home so earlt, but they were so clean and tidy it made me feel uncomfortable, every toy dd2 got out she almost picked up and out away again straight away despite having a 16 month old herself.
Never mind, was a good meal.

Gonna list on ebay tonight and see how my matched bets settled.

I have decided to sell my old pc on eBay to raise some extra cash for paying off the loan.

Just posted on techie board to find out how to completely wipe the hard drive as you hear these horror stories of people getting bank details etc even when its been restored.

I am quite jealous at moment as my Dad brought a new PC the other day and its better than mine and i am quite a PC nerd, even though mine is only a year old anyway, i only had my other one 3 years ish and then got my new one :o
