Grocery Bargains

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if there is already a thread about this but I thought as we're all trying to cut the costs of food shopping and especially in the current climate where the price of food is rocketing, it would be a good idea to post any bargains we can find in the supermarkets, special offers etc, I know there is mysupermarket.com price comparison, but that doesn't account for any of the budget stores like Aldi, Netto, Lidl, Farmfoods etc, this way we can all be savvy shoppers and cut our weekly bills down!!
So I'll start, cheapest I've found so far......
FARMFOODS
Milk - £1.00 for 4pts, £1.50 for 6 pts (always well dated)
Coffee - Nescafe 200g jars £1.99 (Tesco it's £4.14 for same size)
Kingsmill Bread - 50/50 or Everyday Bread £1.70 for 2
Splenda Granules - 59p (this is £2.95 in Tesco!!!)
LIDL
Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner - I'm normally a bit of a brand girl I'm afraid but in Lidl their version of this is called POOL, it's only 69p a bottle and I tried it and it is just like Pantene!, its just as good quality so I'm converted.
any others? what are the special offers in the other big supermarkets this week?

My son likes J2O and has been buying them at Netto this week. Not sure of the deal but works out about 50p a bottle. Not as good as recent Tesco offer though.0

Not a long term thing - but great meat bargains in Morrisons this weekend. We've has curry tonight with a 220g pack of chicken breast mini fillets for 50p and a jar of curry sauce from Sainsburys for 9p (they've been this price for a while). Morrisons also have packs of 8 thick pork sausages and 4 fresh beefburgers for 50p each.
I can't eat butter/margarine on anything but toast, and even then I can only eat Willow (DD says it tastes disgusting, but bizarrely it's the only one I can't taste). Willow is 2 for £1.25 in Iceland.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it

Hi milliemonster,
The Shop but Don't Drop board is specifically for posting shopping bargains so I'll move your thread across.
