I have just started 'comping' tonight and am so impressed with your list - i'm not named as a newbie no more but still consider myself as one. I could never have compiled such a great list so very well done. This is my first visit to 'comping' threads but def wont be my last. Good luck to everyone!!!!0

TBH I like an early list - days early would suit me as so many seem to have finished even a day or two before the published end dateHappy with any wins this year :A0

I'm certainly not biting your head off, but I wonder why you feel you've got to enter every competition. The way you describe it - getting it done, trying to catch up, so many posts - and so on sounds really stressful and not much fun. Why not just look through the new comps and enter the ones you like the look of?
I do enter the comps that I like and I certainly don't enter every single comp!! I don't find it stressful and as I said it was my opinion that I thought that the post was nice that it was up a little earlier sometimes especially at the end of the month. Some comps have been going for months and as I've only just recently started it's nice to be able find the ones I haven't already entered or found through searching the forum!!!0 -

I honestly can't see the problem with the current situation. At most, there are two CE threads on the board at any one time. OK, it's not strict adherence to the rules that the BG's laid down but I'm sure we can improve the protocol around these things to tighten it up. e.g. all the CE threads should be started (and stay) in the Game Over forum, with a sticky to point people that way. Easy peasy pudding & pie!
As for the point about people not putting anything back and just using the Comps Ending threads, so what? It's just an exaggerated version of what happened before the CE threads anyway. As a regular comp poster, it's no skin off my nose. YMMV.
Unfortunately I've not had time to dip into the Discussion thread to see what - probably valid - points the BG's are making. Many tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!:beer:0 -
