£4 and very nice. I bought a set and my son loves using them0 -
I've found that forks for toddlers always seem to have far too rounded ends. My son uses a 'grown up' fork because he can't get anything onto a little fork. I know what he means. I can't either. I've tried stabbing pasta etc with them and they just squash it.
I'd love to find a little fork with sharper points, but very short points (ie 1cm or so) so he can stab his food but not do himself any harm with it.
The forks he uses are far too big for him, bless, but he won't accept anything else. He can't manage a knife with it yet but does like to use the baby knives we have (we were given about 3 cutlery sets) to spread his sandwiches. (For 'spread' read 'tear holes in'.)
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
my mum got my kids a knife, fork and spoon set from dunelm, its perfect for older toddlers as its a little larger than the gimmick stuff (bob the builder, my little pony, barbie etc) my son uses his well (he is 5) and my husbands sister at 8 also has a simialr set as normal cutlery is still too large/awkward for her.0

should of added, the knife is a lot sharper than the blunt ones in kiddies sets, and the fork is a lot better at picking up bits of meat and veg etc, as it is much sharper. the spoon however is too large for kiddies yogurts.0

I'll check out DunnIn to see what they are like.

I must admit, I bought the Poundland set this week and I am impressed. They are sharp enough to do the job but not too sharp to hurt. My son also likes to tell me what each item is and what colour it is too - he has only just turned two so I find this really sweet.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
