Hi All,
Over the years of many birthdays and Christmases my Mum and I have always tried to think of new and creative ways to wrap our gifts. From this we have got a few tips and ideas to share, but would be really keen to see what others have got too!
Our tips are:
1) Always use double sided tape to make the gift look neater
2) Use wired ribbon so it can be sculpted into a stunning bow and not go flat
3) Always fold over all the edges so you don't see a sharp edge
4) Be as creative as you want, tie baubles on at Christmas, use herbs and spices from the garden and I've even heard of pasta being tied on too!
Would love to hear everyone elses ideas!

Last year I wrapped all my adult pressies in parcel paper - brown, red and green. I tied bows with brown parcel string. Was cheap to do and looked fab!!!
I'm making several baskets/hampers this year and they are going to be wrapped in pale gold cellophane.
I was thinking of maybe decorating some wooden shapes for tags this year, another rustic look! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I did the same as rainmac last year but with the addition of a candy cane. Went down very well.:TScuzie:T

I plan on wrapping my grans present in brown parcel paper, then wrapping that present up with a hamper sat on top of it all wrapped in cellophane. So far this year I have done 5 hampers so thats 5 presents which won't be wrapped.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

Tescos in the same place as brown parcel paper. Donlt know if it's just stocked for Xmas? If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
the parcel paper sounds like a great idea! I think I will have to look into that, you can make it look really classy with an added christmas decoration.
How about a cheap bauble painted with their name using glass paints?Debt free wannabe
