£9K in 260 days ~ Red's Challenge and Diary!!!

Hi,
After being on here for a while and seeming to not do much apart from rewrite my signature to include more and more debt every month I’m finally, once and for all, taking a stand.
If its ok with everyone I’m going to keep a diary, to keep me motivated and not feel like I’m alone with the battles.
The debts are made up of a 8k loan, 3.5k credit card and 4k loan, plus other stupid purchases and unpaid bills!
I’m moving house in 14 days with my hubby and two cats, to somewhere a bit smaller and nearer to work for both of us so I’m more positive that the bills will actually get paid this time! Also I’m determined to become a domestic goddess in our new home, no more messy!!!;)
So….I have 260 days to go until 24th April 2009, and I'm giving myself a target of £9000 of debt to pay off (just over half), wish me luck!! :T

Good Luck, I'll look out for any tips you can give to help me with my debt, which is minor compared to yours, but important to clear all the same. I recommend the one payment a day thread which is a fab idea. Keep us posted!! Tink xDebt to clear: feels endless...
Weight loss to go: 42lb/13.5lb
Maybe someday i'll be skinny, organised and debt free..

Hi Guys, thanks for your support!
Lilac, no reason for the date, except Hubby's birthday is a month after and it'd be nice to let our hair down a bit for that
and its the 24th as I get paid monthly
I love the idea of the payment a day thread, saw it earlier, i might pick a debt and sign up to that!

OK so good start to today, i've just found 24p on my desk lol which will go in the sealed pot i'm going to start when I get home, and i've cancelled our usual firday night drink after work with friends. Just cant afford it this week and need to pay the rest of our admin fees for the flat tonight, so with the £30 i'm going to put in my bank account (overdrawn!!) we've got £40 for the week. Should be plenty for a budget shop

Hi all,
So 256 days to go!
Received my £20 M+S Vouchers in the post last night, brought another £2 stamps from Mr M on saturday and have earn £3.50 with dooyoo so feeling very positive. Also have just over £6 in my sealed pot, so am making a cracking start on my xmas fund, which will in turn leave more money for the debts!
Cant actually wait until 12th Sept, i'll be able to pay off four debts in one day, its going to feel really good lol.
Also have paid our fees on the flat and we move on the 22nd Aug, I cant wait for our fresh start!
