Token Payment Nightmare

I'm intending to apply for bankruptcy as soon as my oh is off my bank account and in the mean time was intending to make token payments to creditors (as recommended by CCCS) BUT HOW DO i DO THIS WITHOUT A CHEQUE BOOK OR PAYMENT BOOK AS CREDITORS WONT ACCEPT OFFER OF TOKEN PAYMENT? Any one else had this problem - literally cant sleep for worry and this isnt good when I have 2 lo's to look after in the morning.

Do you have a debit/electron/solo card. If so you must say to them, I am making you a payment of £x. It is all I can afford.

If they refuse to accept your payment, inform them that you are recording the call, take the name of the person on the other end and make a note of the date, time and who you spoke to. Inform them that you are doing this and if there are any consequences to them not accepting your payment you will have proof that they wouldn't accept your payment.

I have done this in the past. BOS refused to accept a payment once and I rang back and asked to speak to a manager and complained.

    Hi. :)

How long do you think it will be before you can go BR?

If any of the debts are with debt collection agencies (or even some unscrupulous original creditors) I would be a little cautious about paying by debit card. I've heard of quite a few occasions when they have taken more than they should, or even helped themselves to additional payments.

Sammy the only problem with giving them a debit card number is they can then take bigger payments at a later date.

Raradel when are you thinking of going BR? Give CCCS another ring and explain the problems you are having and ask their advice.

Just seen the other posting on the other thread, I was dealing with warring kids in the middle of writing so that's why I was so behind you. Was going to delete it but decided to leave it.

What I did when making token payments was set up a bank transfer (not a direct debit) through online banking and then paid them £1 per month. If they are refusing to give the bank details then give me a shout as I know nationwide online banking has the bank details for most of the major credit cards for you to make payments.
